I compose in a wide range of styles and am often told that I am very versatile when it comes to creating music for different projects.

Some of the music styles I write in include: cinematic orchestral, retro / chiptune, jazz, folk-influenced and oriental-influenced music. I also enjoy creating reflective music for solo instrumentals (e.g. piano or violin).

I specialise in creating instrumental, evocative music for video games and short films, and have worked on a wide range of projects.

This includes working on indie games with indie game studios, independent game developers and solo developers through to creating music with talented filmmakers, film production studios, animators, podcasters, streamers and more. Explore my credits here.

I have been featured on the BBC, inspiring the future generation of young composers in the BBC Bitesize Series: Composing Music for Video Games.

My music was also showcased at the Ukie's Game Changers:- a live game music event highlighting the very best of UK games music talent. I was named one of the top 5 emerging female composers in the UK.

I am also incredibly proud to have been asked to have my music added to the British Library's Sound Archive. Here it forms part of the UK's cultural heritage and is preserved for future generations.

What clients say

We were looking for a freelance music composer who could help us produce some theme music for the new Storyhaven website and trailer. I felt that Ninichi’s British Thai musical background and inclination to parallel fantastical worlds really suits the Storyhaven ethos.

I think the theme music works really well. I love the track. It´s really wonderful. You can see it at Storyhaven.app and also on the Storyhaven Trailer video. Thank you so much for your great work on the music!

Music plays an extremely important role in Mini Hospital. We wanted the music to lift people’s moods while playing it and Ninichi truly translated what we wanted, into the form of her beautiful music. It has since given our hospital so much life!

We heard Ninichi’s work on Soundcloud and fell in love with her music, that is when we decided to get in touch with her. The experience has been great, she has been so easy to work with and is extremely skilled and talented at what she does.

I have really enjoyed working with you and I am truly grateful that you showed an interest in the game and wanted to help me with the music. I really like the tracks and I think they suit the game well.

The original idea was to have a track for each section of the game and a theme for the boss and a final boss battle. I also wanted an introduction song and a song for when you beat the game.

I think it is important to have video game music that you can listen to for a long time without getting tired of it and I think that can be said about these tracks. I have discovered that I actually like the tracks even more now than when I first heard them.

Wow — this sounds incredible. The atmosphere and timing are spot-on with the trailer. The tone builds beautifully and really captures that haunting, mysterious quality we were hoping for.

Thank you for all your work on this and for being so patient along the way. Really fantastic job — it fits the world of VAIL perfectly. Thanks again for your amazing work and patience throughout this process!

Not sure where to start?

If you’ve never hired a composer for your game or film before, it can be a bit daunting. You may have many questions on your mind such as: How does one work with a composer? How much will they cost? How do I know if they’re any good? What should I tell them I need?

To help you answer some of these questions, I’ve pulled together a selection of my blogs (taken from my GameDev Blog), which I hope you will find useful…
